Tucked along the North West Florida Coastline, sits a remarkable piece of America. Sugar white sand beaches, warm emerald waters and rich verdant forests. This part of Florida has been a closely guarded secret for generations of families who have planned vacations, celebrated birthdays and chosen to set up home on its pristine shores.
From Pensacola in the West to Apalachicola in the East, the communities that make up this remarkable coastline each have their own individual personalities; from young and lively to sleepy and relaxed, but all share some common traits we value. Here, your neighbors are your friends. This is a place where a handshake matters. Impromptu backyard parties and BBQs happen in a heartbeat and all are invited. The many bars and restaurants are where you can sit and chat with friends, new and old alike.
Our brewery is located in the heart of this community. Our beer suits our way of life.
Welcome to our home. Welcome to Grayton Beer.
How it all started
In 2006, Jamey Price and his wife Candace arrived in South Walton to set up home. Newly married, they recognized the area as the place where they would look to raise their family and establish roots. In 2011, Jamey started his journey toward the goal of a brewery that made beer to compliment the local area that he called home. Grayton Beer Company was born. Joined by local brewer, Shank, Grayton Beer Company started with two beers, an IPA and a Pale Ale – classic American craft beers. A location was identified on US-98 between Rosemary Beach and Grayton Beach, and the dream of the brewery took another step forward.
Today, thanks to the support of the local community, Grayton Beer Company has gone from a dream to a reality. Brewing classic and contemporary beers, Grayton Beer is proud to call South Walton, Florida home.
The initial interest in Grayton Beer Company began more than 15 years ago, when Jamey spent a summer break from Ole Miss on Lake Tahoe. This was where he had his first sip of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and was hooked on great-tasting beer. Fast-forward more than a decade through a career in software, a marriage, a move from Nashville to the beach, and a few babies. He and his wife, Candace, appreciate everything about life on the Florida panhandle. This, coupled with his passion for small batch beers, was the perfect recipe to start Grayton Beer Company.
