Grayton Brewed, Redneck Approved

Posted by Abby Eller | January 09, 2015

We’re sure you’ve heard that our latest seasonal brew, the Redneck Rye-viera, recently hit shelves and taps throughout the panhandle! But did you know that this red rye double IPA was crafted with 800 pounds of fresh crystal hops added to three different types of rye? The hops were shipped to us from Oregon for brewing within 24 hours of harvest. This ensures that the hops are still pure and fresh which gives the Redneck Rye-viera a distinct floral and aromatic hop profile only achievable once a year. We add a robust malt bill and hints of spice from rye malt to provide a truly unique drinking experience perfect for with cooler weather (not to mention a little more alcohol to warm you up).

This smooth and spicy harvest ale is a stroke of genius from brewer Tyler White and has been one of our most popular seasonal beers so far. The Redneck Rye-viera is also the second beer in our Artist Series, where a portion of its sales will go toward art-based initiatives and charities in the Florida panhandle. We are proud to feature artwork on this label created by South Walton artist Allison Wickey, who used the trees, blue waters and white sugar-sand beaches to depict the local landscape that is commonly called the Redneck Riviera.
